30th Pearl Wedding Anniversary – Black Tie & Diamond Ball
Wareside, Hertfordshire – Seated 3 Course Seated Meal 104 x Guests
Magpie Catering organised this special event for our clients that entailed arranging all tables, chairs, bespoke black linen table cloths and napkins, ovens, hot cupboards, fridges, full layout of the marquee and kitchen service area, including arranging table centre pieces, candles, diamonds and pearls. They had a Frank Sinatra singer with a hands free microphone walking round the guests as they were having the Champagne Canapé Reception and fine dining 3 course meal which we designed to suit the theme of the event. We also arranged a cheese ‘cake’ which they had instead of a traditional celebration cake and allowing them to have a cheese course after the meal with coffee.
Along with looking after the food design, preparation and service our trained bar staff undertook all the drinks element throughout the evening and staffed the bar after dinner which went on until the early hours accompanied by a delicious Hog Roast and fireworks display.
A big thank-you to you for all your hard work and professional advice leading up to our event you have such a amazing knowledge of events and the logistic and design advice was commendable. We cannot thank your team enough Anita ran things with military precision understanding our specification and bringing every detail into our evening we had discussed. The food was wonderful both presentation and service, your team are a credit to you. All of our guests have made reference to our caterers and most have asked for your details – thank-you thank-you thank-you.

This compromised a layered stack of different cheeses resembling a celebration cake which was made up of mixed fruit cheeses on the base, whole stilton, whole brie, camembert, truckles, etc. Garnished with vine tomatoes, fresh figs, grapes and celery
We then break it down and lay it out with rustic breads, savoury crackers and chutney
Spit roasted Whole Pig with Crackling
Served with – Sage and Onion Stuffing, Fried Onions, Baps and Apple Sauce.
