Over the past few chilly months Magpie Catering have been journeying all over Essex, London & Hertfordshire keeping their clients happy and most importantly well fed. The Christmas period was filled with some fabulous and glamorous events and this has continued right through until January with prestigious Fine Dining Parties through to Business Networking Events.
Lizzy is also adding and designing some exciting new dishes to our extensive menu packs. There’s nothing like Magpie Catering surprising our clients with something they have never tried before. Our new season dishes have Lizzys expertise and inspiration which has made her stand out from crowd for the past 15yrs.

December was the end of a very successful year in which Magpie Catering achieved great things both in food, service and event management.
Our excellent corporate and directors dining menus have gained us a brilliant reputation within the business market. This has rapidly spread as our Corporate Lunch Buffets have doubled within the last 12 months……Actually our whole client base has doubled within the last year which we think is impressive in itself let alone in this credit crunch !
We are now the designated caterers at many prestigious venues – Reid Rooms- White Roding, Room at the Rodings - Beauchamp Roding, Highlands House – Chelmsford, Langtons House- Hornchurch, Abridge Golf Club – Abridge, Epping Woodland Burial Park, Chiltern Woodland Burial Park and many others and are still looking for more !
It was our turn to be looked after and Lizzy treated all her team to a catered dinner for “Magpie Catering Management & Chefs Xmas Party” we all enjoyed someone cooking for us for a change and being served – so much so there were sore heads all round the next day…including Lizzy!!! Needless to say we had a great night !

Hope you're well and sorry for the delay in sending this email - turns out there's just as much to do post-wedding as pre! We just wanted to drop you a line to say a huge thank you for the fantastic job you all did for our wedding on the 20th. When we were choosing a caterer, we obviously cared about the quality of the food, but it was also really important that we found people who we got on with and would understand what we wanted. You guys fit the bill perfectly! The menu and tasting sessions with Lizzy were brilliant and helped us to be sure we'd made the right choice. Jo was also a great help (and very patient!) in the lead-up to the day. At the wedding, Anita and her team were fantastic. The food was outstanding . I think Andy came to the kitchen to thank the chefs! To add to what he said then, I lost count of the number of people who told me how delicious the food was, both in the day and the evening. And I was even more grateful that we'd had the tasting session, because between speaking to people and being nervous for my speech, I don't think I managed to eat nearly enough! Anita and the waiting staff coped brilliantly with the tightly- packed layout we had and were professional throughout. I've particularly had thanks from Andy's cousin about how lovely Anita was to Jackie, who had the nuts-and-seeds allergy. It's things like that which make all the difference to guests and to us, so thank you. We knew we'd made the right choice of caterers pretty early on, but you managed to exceed our expectations and helped make our wedding run exactly as we wanted. We'll definitely be recommending you to anyone we know who needs catering.

Thank-you so much for the food and service on Thursday for my Fathers funeral. Magpie Catering were great, there was no fuss, everything was so efficient and everything went so well. We couldn't recomend you more highly everything is first class. The food was delicious and beautifully presented along with your fantastic service your team are amazing - literally everthing was taken care of in the most unobtrusive way.

Hi Lizzy
Just wanted to follow up with some more formal feedback to our chat on the phone and since having our committee meeting last night.
Everyone was delighted with the whole evening, with you and your team providing wonderful food and service. As I had put my neck on the line with this being the first time we've ever done this type of event at the clubhouse I could not have asked for things to go as well as they did with your hard working staff and Anita running things superbly from front of house. So once again thanks for everything on the night and hopefully next year will be bigger and better! I hope you get some more business from people that were there on the night as well.
Adding on to this it looks like I've convinced people this is the way to go, so would like to pencil in a date for next year (not going to do too much on this just yet as having a rest!) for Saturday 8th October 2011. Would be good to sort out a meeting with yourself in a few months to go through this and any other needs for us as well, we may do a youth presentation night on the 7th October as well to utilise the marquee for 2 nights and would be after some food for that night as well I imagine (buffet more than likely).
Anyway this can all be discussed in the future and once things have quietened down a bit (if they ever do for you) we will meet up

- Magpie Catering Newsletter Launched!... We have just launched this news and events page to keep you up to date with all that's happening with Magpie Catering and in the wider events catering industry
- This month has proved to be very exciting for us, we have had a team from Channel 4 TV recording our every move !! Magpie Catering had a Producer contact us requesting to make a "fly on the wall" - (excuse the pun!) documentary within the catering industry. Magpie Catering, were pleased to take part in this pilot version which may lead to future programmes......watch this space!
- Magpie Catering also catered for the inaugural Scarlet Auction Dinner in support of St Clare Hospice. This event raised the magnificent amount of £37,500. Magpie Catering donated a dinner party for the Scarlet Auction, you can view the event via http://www.stclare-hospice.co.uk/news.html website. Lizzy always takes a keen interest within our local community to support charities in which ever way she can.
